PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The community of Délı̨nę is concerned about the impacts of climate change and how it will affect their access to country foods. Working with community partners the research aims to a) assess the vulnerability of Délı̨nę community members to climate change impacts with a focus on impacts to harvesting practices, country food security now and in the future; b) identify adaptation strategies currently employed or possible for application by community members to mitigate any adverse impacts to traditional harvesting practices and community health and well-being, and c) create a community plan for climate change adaptation and food security.
